Team Management

Collaborate with your team using roles and permissions.

Roles

Every team member has a role that determines what they can do within your organization. There are four roles:

RolePermissions
OwnerFull access. Manage billing, delete organization, transfer ownership. Only one owner per organization.
AdminCreate and manage editions, invite and remove team members, manage all content. Cannot access billing or delete the organization.
EditorCreate and edit content (artists, schedule, news, etc.), publish editions. Cannot manage team members or organization settings.
ViewerRead-only access to all content and analytics. Cannot make changes.

Inviting team members

To invite someone to your organization:

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select a role (Admin, Editor, or Viewer)
  5. Click Send Invite

The invited person will receive an email with a link to join. If they don't have a Stagebly account yet, they'll be prompted to create one first.

  • Invitations expire after 7 days — you can resend them
  • The Free plan supports up to 2 team members. Upgrade to Pro for more.

Managing permissions

You can change a team member's role at any time from the Team settings page.

  • Only Owners and Admins can change roles
  • An Admin cannot promote someone to Owner or change the Owner's role
  • Role changes take effect immediately — no re-login required

Removing members

To remove a team member:

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Team
  2. Find the member and click the menu icon
  3. Select Remove
  4. Confirm the removal

Removed members lose access immediately. Their past edits are preserved in the system. The Owner cannot be removed — ownership must be transferred first.

Transferring ownership

If you need to transfer organization ownership to another team member:

  1. The new owner must already be a member of the organization
  2. Go to Organization Settings → Team
  3. Click the menu icon next to the member and select Transfer Ownership
  4. Confirm the transfer — you will be downgraded to Admin
